Life in Instagram - Before May Ends

I’m suffering a weird feeling of depression and fear right now - mostly of what’s ahead, unseen possibilities and on building up my self-esteem. 

Or maybe I’m just over thinking things, leading me to come up with realizations that are trying to break my confidence levels bit by bit.

…let’s just hope this phase gets out of my system as soon as possible.

  1. I’ve turned my journal into an outlet for quotes and other inspiring words for self-encouragement. 
  2. I found my old Moleskine. Brought back so much memories of who I used to be.
  3. Curls, just ‘cause it’s the last day of Blogworthy (and my attempt to look *girly*)
  4. Nude nails for the first day of school
  5. Filed notebook cover. I’m using this as my planning notebook (aka ideas notebook).
  6. The long row of design & typography books at Fully Booked made me wish I lived there.

10/52 (I’m sorry, I will try to finish 52 quotes by the end of the year!) I just found this quote while randomly searching on Google. It’s very inspiring. Life changes every minute of everyday. You lose friends. You gain friends. You realize your friend wasn’t ever really your friend and the person you used to hate can make a really good friend.  You look for love. You find love. You lose love. You realize all along that you’ve been loved. You laugh. You cry. You laugh so hard that you cry. You do this, you do that. You really wish you hadn’t done that. Instead of the usual photo collage and letter I give my mom every year (and she’s probably sick of it already; it’s my siblings’ turn to do those!) I decided to channel my “inner” graphic/typography designer and did a little typography art for her - and cooked some heart shaped pancakes and cookies! Although this “labor of love” will never sum up to the 19 years she spent taking care of me and raising me to be the best I can be. I owe my life to her.  Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! <3
